The 2014 MunJebel MC is a lovely expression of Nerello Mascalese, which is impressive for its wonderful overall balance and purity. The fabulous aromas of fresh berries, floral and leather along with dried spices and minerals all come together beautifully in the glass. This continues to impress with its focused flavors of dark and red berries, and gorgeous elegant texture leading up to the long finish. Today, this already shows some attractive qualities, but it will certainly be best as it evolves with a few years of additional bottle age. (Best 2018-2030)

This pure Nerello Mascalese comes from our cru in contrada Monte Colla. An extremely steep and terraced vineyard, beautifully exposed to sun and wind and right in front of mount Etna. The sandy clay soil and the old-vine Nerello Mascalese, planted in 1946, reach a richer and more powerfull expressio, maintaining elegance. Our "Hermitage" of Etna.
